BIOGRAPHY
John L. "Jay" McNevin, III died on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Capital Health - Helene Fund in Trenton. He was 65.
Born in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Margaret (Irons) and John L. McNevin, Jr., Jay was a longtime resident of Falls Township and was a 1967 graduate of Bishop Egan High School.
Jay was a bricklayer with US Steel for 22 years, retiring in 1990. After his retirement, Jay went to work as a Public Safety Officer, most recently with Holy Family University in Newtown. He also worked in the warehouse under several capacities at CSC Sugar in Morrisville.
Jay served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
Beloved husband of 39 years to Marylou (Walker), Jay is the loving father of Matt (partner, Colleen Prior) of Silver Spring, MD.
Jay will also be sadly missed by his sister, Margaret "Mimi" Zordan (Larry) of Marlton, NJ: his sister-in-law, Carol Weiss (late Frank) of Hamilton Twp., NJ; his nieces, Jennifer Menges (John) of Limerick and her children, Kallie, Christian, Chelsea, Joshua and the late Jacob and Zachary and Debbie Collins (Jason) of Weatherly, PA and her children, Connor, Tyler and Brandon; his aunt, Floretta McNevin of Ridley Park; and dear friends, the Gushue, Kulan, Cahill, Levins, Strock and Denise Jones families.
