there will never be a luckier place to grow up than suffolk road and south olds boulevard with jay, mimi, and the rest of the neighborhood gang. jay was often in the mix, snowballs flying, baseball stories going, hanging at the pool, and just knowing there would be a game of hide and seek in front of sniders as soon as the sun went down. there are rumors still of his penache at pinochle and how the card club welcomed jay but inwardly groaning at his skills. life marches on, but the kid inside jay never left. i saw him last at marges's funeral, eyes twinkling, always ready to tell a story. wishing you peace jay, marylou, matthew, mimi, and families.
